Introducing the 1986-1994 E30 BMW 7 Series...

Consolidating the existing high-end market for the 7 series established by the earlier E23, BMW again expanded the technology and style standard for a luxury saloon with the 1986 release of the E32.

Appearance Changes The E32 debuted a new, modernised design over the previous "classic" 7: where the E23 sported a youthfully rebelious charm, the E32 had grown up with a shallowed out, more passive and reserved front. The rear appearance diverges with tradition, the 'high' orientation for the rear lights and boot, a less rounded look with a distinct 'squareness' and sophisticated 'sleekness' over the E23's past European curves.
