introduced a facelift for the cabriolet and coupe body styles of the 1
Series in 2010, letting the 3- and 5-door versions of the model
untouched. Visual changes to the car were made in the
headlight/taillight areas, while the bumpers (front/rear) have also been
subject to change. The interior suffered only minor modifications.
Under the hood, BMW brought in a new N55 unit that replaced the N54
twin-turbo, but kept the same output levels.

German carmaker only decided to bring some slight exterior revisions to
the coupe and cabriolet versions of the 1 Series, leaving the hatchback
variants (3 and 5 door) untouched. The cabriolet received new
headlights/taillights and had its front and rear bumpers revised. BMW
didn't work too much at the interior, as most of the elements remain the
same as compared to the pre-facelift version. On the tech side, the N54
twin-turbo engine was replaced by the N55 unit (same power).
